Collected Resonance
Exhibit Catalogue
Art Gallery of Greater Victoria
Collected Resonance explores concepts of cross-cultural identity, relationships, memories, and personal narratives through the work of three female artists of Hindu, Sikh, and Muslim descent.
It was crucial to allow each artist the same presence in the catalogue and, as a result, images from all three were used on the cover and title spread and were equally dispersed throughout the book. As many of their creations were very tactile and organic, (e.g. wallpaper, fabric, handmade paper, and handwriting), we decided to use an uncoated paper stock with some tooth, giving the reader the pleasure of a tactile experience as well.
