Tiff: A Life of Timothy Findley

With his compelling photograph and bold signature, Timothy Findley takes centre stage in the cover design for Tiff. The directness of his gaze calls the reader to dive into the discovery of Findley as a multi-dimensional person, beyond his outstanding achievements as a novelist, playwright, and short-story writer. 

The text design is composed of generous white space and a multi-level typesetting. The carefully-chosen selection of fonts, including a hand-drawn script and swashes, aims to imbue the text with a sense of Findley’s unique personality and story. Divided into parts with full-page visuals, the book also includes a  28-page photo insert providing a visual documentary of Findley’s life.
