Parksville Museum
Early 2020 the Parksville Museum embarked on the process of developing a Museum Exhibition Master Plan. The goal was to create a practical and achievable path to a successful and improved visitor experience. Lime Design has worked since Fall 2020 to develop a wayfinding system, interpretive signage, Welcome feature and an initial interior exhibit for McMillan House.
I was back again this morning admiring your signage artistry and the stories being shared. It was a perfect morning to revisit the grounds given the soft lighting and fall colours.
I am lost for words to properly describe the awesome affect the signs have made on the museum property and on me. The signage has elevated the entire museum experience incredibly making it a very magical and successful time warp experience. The pictures and verbiage are absolutely perfect and placement of the signs in the heritage village, pathway and nature walk yields a complete and very satisfying visitor experience.
Thank you Matthias for the amazing and wonderful experience you have given us. The endless hours that you spent, and then with Susan, researching/creating/imagining/organizing/editing etc etc, cannot be comprehended. Your artisan woodworking skills were an unbelievable bonus given that you handcrafted all of the posts and wooden accoutrements.
It has been an enormous pleasure and learning experience to have worked with you on this project. I am most grateful on many levels and I am very proud of the immediate positive impact this signage project has made to the museum. Congratulations Matthias and to David for an extraordinary job and brilliant upgrade to the museum experience.
