Inuit, Oblate Missionaries, and Grey Nuns in the Keewatin: 1865–1965
McGill-Queen’s University Press
Using a direct approach, this cover conveys its subject matter by presenting an Inuit boy and nun within the religious symbol of a cross. The cool blue-and-white colour scheme ties to the appearance and climate of northern Canada while pops of orange highlight various content. The front and back cover compositions are mirrored to strengthen the overall presentation and meaning.
