The Canadian Graphic cover makes reference to a graphic novel or comic style by way of the font, illustration, and the stylized speech bubble containing the title. The integration of red and white gives a nod to Canadian national identity.

The text design uses speech bubbles as well, highlighting titles and sections throughout. A clean and graphic black and white approach defines the pages and gives prominence to the richly visual figures when they appear.
