Anders and Dorrit’s Community Park – Regional District of Nanaimo

This unique rural setting close to the city of Nanaimo was turned into a community park in 2012. The Anders and Dorrit Olesen farm property was gifted to the district and converted into a beautiful public park to be enjoyed by the community and future generations of visitors.

Together with the Parks department we developed 16 interactive interpretive signs. We thoroughly enjoyed the process of content development to tell the story of the Olesen’s, the process of converting the land into a park, featuring tree species, and the Millstone watershed. Our services included initial layout sketches up to sign installation.
